People whose location falls inside the service area you set: a radius around your base, or your city. Both buyers and makers on The Spool List can find you.

Yes. A listing covers up to 50 miles (80 km) around your base for one listing payment. Each extra 100 miles adds two listing payments: 150 miles (241 km) = 3, 250 miles (402 km) = 5 and 350 miles (563 km) = 7 — for example $15 a month or $180 a year for 150 miles. People see your listing when they are inside your radius or inside one of the 50-mile honeycomb cells your coverage includes. Need more than 350 miles? Contact us.

Physical, hands-on local trades: plumbing, electrical work, heating and air conditioning, roofing, carpentry, tiling, fencing, gardening and tree surgery, cleaning, pressure washing, handyman jobs, moving, appliance repair, mobile mechanics, welding, upholstery, sewing and alterations, and more. Licensed trades list with a valid licence number, which is shown on the listing. AI, apps, web design, marketing and other online-only services can't be listed.

Firearms and weapons, defence work, medical, legal, financial and immigration services, gambling, cannabis and tobacco, adult services, and anything illegal where it is offered.

They tap to see your phone number or email and contact you directly, for free. Or they book and pay through your listing: you accept with your price, the payment is held safely until the job is done, and you are paid the job price minus a 12% platform fee.

Yes. Switch any listing off or back on from your dashboard whenever you like, and cancel online at any time. A cancelled listing stays live until the end of the period you've paid for.

Impressions, listing views, calls, emails, website visits and directions taps, day by day, with a monthly summary by email.

No. You create and manage listings, see your stats and handle billing at app.thespoollist.com/business with your own username and password.

Yes. Automatic checks run as soon as you pay, and some listings also get a quick look from our team. You confirm your phone number with a code. We don't vet the quality of anyone's work, so listings are clearly marked as paid.

No. Your page on thespoollist.com never shows your phone number or email. People tap Contact to reveal them in The Spool List app or web app, and reveals are rate-limited to deter scraping.

Yes. Each listing covers one service and one service area. Add more listings for other trades or locations at the same price each.

Your listing gets its own page on thespoollist.com, which search engines can find and index once its description is at least 80 characters long. We can't promise any particular ranking.
